SUBMISSIONS: OPEN

We’re excited to have you join us!

Please email us at keetna.publishing@gmail.com and include the following:

  • A synopsis of what your book is about in the content section of the email. Be creative, have fun, and give us an idea of what you have in store for readers.
  • A short biography about you! We’re investing in you just as much as in your book. Tell us what makes you stand out from the crowd and what your passions are.
  • The first 3-5 chapters of your book in an attached PDF file. A good book can pull you in within the first few pages so the first few chapters are more than enough to leave us begging for more!

Our goal is to respond to every submission we receive. It may take some time, but you will hear from us about whether or not your piece is a good fit. If your book matches what we’re looking for, we will then ask you to send us the manuscript in full as well as a more in-depth summary of the contents of the book. We just ask that you please do not submit a full manuscript until it is requested.

We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. We are taking on a nominal number of projects each year, so not every book will be a match. That does not mean it’s not a gem of a manuscript. We encourage you to continue persuing your dream, whether that be with us or somewhere else. The world needs writers like you!

We are currently looking for full-length novels and memoirs. We are not currently accepting short stories or collections of short fiction. Our genres of interest are:

  • Fantasy (including romance, New Adult, and Young Adult)
  • Paranormal (including romance, New Adult, and Young Adult)
  • Thriller
  • Suspense
  • Memoirs (specifically from younger perspectives)

What does it cost to submit a manuscript?
Free!

What does it cost if my book is accepted?
If there’s one thing we don’t like, it’s publishers nickle and diming their authors. If your book is published with us, we take on the costs for editing, formatting, cover design, and marketing. The only cost to you is shared royalties, but that means we only make money if YOU make money.

Does getting published mean I’m going to be a millionaire?
Probably not. I’m sorry. We make no guarantees of what sort of sales numbers or revenues you’re going to make. The world of indie books is a volatile one and sometimes a book doesn’t get the sales we think it might deserve. But that’s why we don’t charge you a cent to get your book out there and on the market.

Do I get to control every detail of my book when I publish with Keetna?
When you choose to use a publisher, that usually means you want an experienced team to use their knowledge to give your book the best chance it has. In return, you give up some of the creative control. Keetna will get the final call on things like editing, formatting, and the cover design. But we promise we do it because that’s what we think will attract readers the most.

How quickly will my book be published once accepted?
If you want to do something right, you have to put in the time. You probably felt that as you wrote your manuscript. And we take that to heart as we prepare it for publishing. The process may be longer or shorter depending on editing and cover designer availability, but it’s worth it in the end. And since we take only a limited number of projects per year, you can expect dedication and attention to detail throughout the entire process.

Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.
